2 Kings 1:17b-18

(NIV1984) 2 Kings 1:17b-18 – “Because Ahaziah had no son, Joram succeeded him as king in the second year of Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah.  As for all the other events of Ahaziah’s reign, and what he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?”

Life goes on.  Ahaziah didn’t have a son, as he might have planned, but he still had a successor.  And this is the most important thing of Ahaziah listed here – everything else was listed in another book.  This – other than Jehoshaphat denying him the use of his ships – is what we are to remember him by.

How do you want to be remembered?
